Story 1:
Theres one guy, named Tom. He wanted to become a pilot. Therefore he told himself this:
i want to be a pilot...
as he goes on in life he keep telling himself
i want to be a pilot...
i want to be a pilot...
i want to be a pilot...
In the end, he's not a pilot.
Why?
It is because he didnt take any actions to make himself to become a pilot.
Which's absurd obviously.
Story 2:
Theres another guy, named Dick. He wanted to become a pilot. Therefore he told himself this:
i want to be a pilot...
and he took some actions for it
HE ENROLLED INTO THE NAVY!
After years of training and others,
He was not a pilot.
and therefore, not realising his dreams.
Story 3:
Theres one last guy, named Harry. He wanted to become a pilot. Therefore he told himself this:
i want to be a pilot...
and he enrolled in to the Flight School
He attended Flight lessons, safety lesson, etc
He keep tellling himself
i want to be a pilot...
i want to be a pilot...
i want to be a pilot...
and attended his lessons regularly.
After years of hard work,
he is finally a pilot.
The 3 story have a similar moral.
That is you cant achieve wat you wan, without taking any actions
in this case, the actions taken should be
1: Tell yourself wat you wanna do (i want to be a pilot)
2: Get yourself in the right track (enrole in the right thing[flight sch ant not navy])
3: Hard work
Therefore i tell myself.
i wanna complete my thermofluid exp 3 report today. and i'm going to do it now ^^
